Are on vacation in the area and went to eat there after a stroll through town. Very nice service and excellent food. Price-performance ratio really great

Nice inn with a sunny beer garden. Nice food, good, well-priced drinks. Quiet location in the middle of Rothenburg ob der Tauber.

Somewhat hidden in a side street, but still very centrally located. Food, prices, service and hygiene each 5 stars. Disinfectant is available at the entrance, the tables are each shielded from the neighboring table with a plexiglass. The sauerbraten was good and very tender and the salad flavorful. If we come back to Rothenburg, we will definitely come here again. Reservations are recommended mainly on weekends.

We're in at the back entrance. Looked a bit inconspicuous. But the food was great, it took less than 15 minutes to be served. Praise to the kitchen for the organization. The drinks service was also very quick. Nice personel. Gladly again, even if the furnishings look a bit old-fashioned - but still came across as pleasant. We had a quiet, relaxed evening there.

Unfriendly and ignorant staff. And obviously tourist ripoffs. Free tables are only given if all seats are occupied. There is no table of four for two .... And then you are ignored for the first time. Many Thanks. We're not coming any more.

Very nice inn. Enough space to be able to eat in peace with the necessary distance. Regional cuisine. Schnitzel always works for me there was roast pork and dumplings. Excellent, gladly again.

We have already been guests in this beautiful inn and were very satisfied. Rooms are clean and the staff is very accommodating. Food is delicious and quick at the table. Unfortunately we had to leave again yesterday. We would love to come back.

Cozy typical German restaurant with a good selection of local Franconian specialties, both wine, beer and food. The food is really good and tasty without being flashy and is served quickly by friendly efficient waiters. The restaurant is a bit hidden in a square / parking lot behind the Market Square.

Did a day trip in Rothenburg ob der Tauber and went to the Butz to eat, as a local recommended it to us. The service was very courteous and totally nice - thumbs up for that. We were not entirely satisfied with the food. French fries were okay, schnitzel was in need of improvement, vegetables looked like the usual grooved frozen king-size vegetables. Would not come a second time.

We dined here in the evening, with Swabian dumplings with asparagus as a side dish (there was sauce hollandaise !! They were delivered separately). We were all very satisfied with the dishes from the traditional cuisine, and the selection of wines also convinced us. The service staff were also very friendly and courteous! Gladly again!

Great service and excellent food. A lovely place to visit

Quaint dining establishment in the heart of the old city. The menu variety was good and prices reasonable. The food was delicious but I found the Gulash soup to be rather watery, having been used to much thicker Gulash soups previously. I would definitely eat here again, the atmosphere was ever so relaxing.

Totally functional with a great location. Our room (2nd floor) was definitely renovated in the early 80s and had strong signs of use, especially in the bathroom. The breakfast is unfortunately not as good as described But the restaurant is really very good.

Good traditional German food, off of the main strip in Rothenberg o d T. Reasonably priced l, waiting staff speak good English and accepts cards.

A conveniently located and well run hotel. Book in advance for dinner as it is a popular place to eat due to the good food, value for money and excellent customer service.

Great meal here, had the pork knuckle (pictured) and a glass of wine recommended by the waitress. It was all very nice and great value. I really enjoyed it and definitely would recommend a visit.

We had dinner at Gasthof Butz, the food was wonderful, real Frankonian food. The wine recommendation was fantastic. Very affordable, while it is just behind the market place it is well worth going there.

Family howned gasthaus with friendly staff. Clean rooms and rich breakfast served in a warm environment. Strongly recommended for dining as well!
